Solo Bharathanatyam recital by SAGARA B S


Watch for a soulful performance by Smt Vidhushi Sagara B S, a Bharatanatyam practitioner and performing artiste. Nattuvangam rhythms by her Guru Smt. Divya Ravi, renowned Bharatanatyam performing artiste, choreographer and educator, who has also been recognized among the most prominent young soloists in the South Asian Dance arena. Smt. Divya Ravi is known for her solo thematic works Manjari, Poems of love, Kanhopatra, Vitthamai and so on. She has been a recipient of “Gutty Vasu Memorial Prize” from Music Academy Madras, “Natyasree” title from SABHA at Kuwait” and many more.

Vocal tunes are rendered by Sri Rohith Bhat known for soulful rendition of music. who has represented Karnataka in the National Level Music Competitions and the recipient of the ‘State Scholarship’ for classical music. He has also been credited for the ‘Ananya award’.

Mridangam beats by Sri Vinay Nagarajan, An extremely proficient in other percussion instruments like Konnakol, Tabla, Dholki and Drums. who has secured Distinction in the Senior Taalavaadya exams conducted by Karnataka board and has composed music music for various dance productions and ballets.

Flute melody by Sri. Vivek Krishnan who has underwent training in the Gurukulam style and has been gifted with wonderful blowing and bhava and he has acquired different fingering techniques and produces different tonal quality in flute using different lengths of flutes to produce base and shrill sounds. He has also been awarded “Venu Gana Praveena” from Savitri Arts Academy (California).


Smt Vidhushi Sagara B S is a B.A. graduate in Performing Arts from Christ University. She has earned a Masters Degree in Dance from Karnataka State Gangubai Hanagal University, Mysuru with Distinction. Alongside earning the degrees from the esteemed institutions, she holds Distinction in Vidwat anthima (KSEEB) and Alankar poorna (ABGMV) examinations . The passion for dance took her to the next stage, Bharatanatyam Rangapravesham in the year 2016. Her sincere hard work, practice and experience paid a heartfelt price when the audience felt her emotions through dance and the stage presence.
She is advancing her training and practice under Natyacharya Smt. Divya Ravi, after her training under Guru Vidushi Smt. Dr Padmini Achchi. The recent workshop by Guru G Venu – ‘Navarasa Sadhana’ conducted by Natanakairali, focused on the Abhinaya journey which has always picked the interest bucket for Sagara as a Dance Practitioner. She has been an active performer in various national and State level competitions and has won on various prestigious stages
